The Bedrock of the Apostolic Faith

Christ’s Death and Resurrection are foundational and indispensable to the teachings of Jesus and the Apostles.

The Apostle Paul discusses the future resurrection of believers in his second letter to Timothy in response to denials of this “sound teaching.” Faith in the future resurrection is central to the doctrine of salvation proclaimed by Jesus and his Apostles. This teaching is utterly reliable since it is based on the historical Death and Resurrection of Jesus, and the eyewitness testimony of the Apostles – (Acts 1:21-22, 2 Timothy 1:13).

El Fundamento de la Fe Apostólica

La Muerte y Resurrección de Cristo son fundamentales e indispensables para las enseñanzas de Jesús y los Apóstoles.

El Apóstol Pablo analiza la futura resurrección de los creyentes en su segunda carta a Timoteo en respuesta a las negaciones de esta “sana enseñanza.” La fe en la resurrección futura es fundamental para la doctrina de la salvación proclamada por Jesús y sus Apóstoles. Esta enseñanza es completamente confiable ya que se basa en la Muerte y Resurrección históricas de Jesús, y en el testimonio ocular de los Apóstoles - (Hechos 1:21-22, 2 Timoteo 1: 13).

El Siervo Ungido

Después de su bautismo en el Jordán, la voz del cielo identificó a Jesús como el Hijo de Dios y el Siervo de Yahvé.

El tema del cumplimiento es prominente en el evangelio de Mateo. En Jesús de Nazaret, las promesas de Dios han encontrado sus cumplimientos profetizados. Él es el Hijo de Dios, el que está destinado a gobernar las naciones de la Tierra, aunque de maneras inesperadas y sin precedentes.

¡Desgarrad los Cielos!

El Espíritu de Dios y la voz del cielo confirmaron el llamado y la identidad de Jesús, Hijo, Mesías y Siervo del Señor.

Jesús aparece por primera vez en el Evangelio de Marcos cuando Juan lo bautiza en el río Jordán. El relato lo identifica con su ciudad natal, Nazaret, un pueblo sin importancia, aunque su insignificancia juega un papel en la historia. Él es “el Siervo del Señor” ungido por el Espíritu, pero no se ajusta a las expectativas populares sobre el Mesías.

The Unexpected Messiah

Jesus is revealed as the Savior of Mankind in his sufferings and self-sacrificial death for others, including his enemies.

The inability of men to recognize Jesus as the Son of God until after his crucifixion is a central theme of the Gospel of Mark. Ironically, the first man to do so is the Roman centurion on duty at his execution. Christ’s self-identification as the suffering “Son of Man” made him unrecognizable to unregenerate men. He was the kind of savior and redeemer no one expected.

¿Quién es este hombre?

En el Evangelio de Marcos, nadie reconoce quién es Jesús excepto los demonios. Solo en su muerte en una cruz romana los hombres entendieron su identidad.

En Galilea, los discípulos presenciaron a Jesús sanar a los enfermos, expulsar demonios, perdonar pecados e incluso calmar tormentas violentas, actos sobrenaturales realizados con gran autoridad. Sin embargo, sus palabras y hechos produjeron confusión sobre su identidad y, por lo tanto, muchos se hicieron la pregunta: “¿Quién es este hombre?” Solo en su ejecución un ser humano finalmente reconoció quién era.

Mesías y Rey

Después de su Resurrección, Jesús comenzó su reinado desde el Trono Mesiánico como lo profetizó David - Salmo 2: 6-9.

Solo Jesús es el Mesías y Rey de Israel, solo él es el Ungido de Dios. Nunca habrá otro, y todos los que compiten por reclamar esta designación son impostores y mentirosos. Este mismo Jesús reina sobre la Tierra hoy. Su Reino es una realidad presente, y su reinado se consumará cuando regrese – (1 Corintios 15: 24-28, Apocalipsis 1:4-6).

Messiah and King

Following his Resurrection, Jesus began his reign from the Messianic Throne as prophesied by David – Psalm 2:6-9.

Only Jesus is the Messiah and King of Israel, only he is God’s Anointed. There will never be another, and all competing claimants to this designation are imposters and liars. This same Jesus reigns over the Earth today. His Kingdom is a present reality, and his reign will be consummated when he returns – (1 Corinthians 15:24-28, Revelation 1:4-6).

Debido a que sacrificó su vida por los demás, Dios resucitó y exaltó a Jesús y lo instaló como Señor Absoluto sobre todas las cosas.

Jesús es el único que revela “los misterios de Dios”, solo él está calificado para revelar al “Dios invisible”. Solo en Cristo se cumplen todas las promesas de Dios. Él abre la Biblia Hebrea y revela “los  tiempos y estaciones.” El Mesías Crucificado es el Soberano Absoluto sobre todas las cosas, y él reina desde el Trono Divino como “Señor” - (Apocalipsis 5: 9-14).

The Name Above All Names

Because he sacrificed his life for others, God resurrected and exalted Jesus and installed him as Absolute Lord over all things.

Jesus is the only one who unveils the “mysteries of God,” only he is qualified to reveal the “unseen God.” Only in Christ are all the promises of God fulfilled. He unlocks the Hebrew Bible and discloses the “times and seasons.” The Crucified Messiah is the Absolute Sovereign over all things, and he reigns from the Divine Throne as “Lord” – (Revelation 5:9-14).

God's Ultimate Word

God has spoken His definitive word in His Son. All previous words given by the prophets were preparatory and partial.

The Letter to the Hebrews encourages us not to abandon Jesus when difficult times come. It does so by emphasizing the superiority of what God has done in His “Son.” The Word “spoken” in Jesus is superior to the earlier revelations provided “to the fathers in the prophets.” The Letter compares the Levitical system with its incomplete rituals to the “better” priesthood and “once for all” sacrifice of the “Son,” Jesus Christ.

La Última Palabra de Dios

Dios ha pronunciado Su palabra definitiva en Su Hijo. Todas las palabras anteriores dadas por los profetas fueron preparatorias y parciales.

La Carta a los Hebreos nos anima a no abandonar a Jesús cuando lleguen tiempos difíciles. Lo hace enfatizando la superioridad de lo que Dios ha hecho en Su “Hijo.” La Palabra “hablada” en Jesús es superior a las revelaciones anteriores proporcionadas “a los padres en los profetas.” La Carta compara el sistema levítico con sus rituales incompletos con el sacerdocio “mejor” y el sacrificio “de una vez por todas” del “Hijo”, Jesucristo.

Beholding God

Only Jesus has seen the unseen God, therefore, 0nly he is fully qualified to reveal and interpret his Father – John 1:14-18.

The Prologue to the Gospel of John introduces key themes of the Book, including Life, Light, Witness, Truth, Glory, and Grace.  Jesus of Nazareth is the Light of the world, the source of Grace and Truth, the True Tabernacle in whom God dwells, the only born Son of God, and the only one who has seen the Father. The Prologue concludes by declaring that the Son is the only one qualified to interpret God since he alone has seen the Unseen God.

Su Victoria y Reinado

Jesús triunfó sobre sus enemigos a través de su Muerte y Resurrección, por lo tanto, ahora reina desde el Trono Mesiánico.

Jesús de Nazaret conquistó a Satanás, el Pecado y la Muerte en la Cruz del Calvario, y comenzó su reinado como Rey Mesiánico después de su Muerte y Resurrección. ¡Él no está esperando algún evento futuro antes de recibir su soberanía sobre la Tierra, él ya reina!

Victory and Reign

Jesus triumphed over his enemies through his Death and Resurrection, therefore, he now reigns from the Messianic Throne.

Jesus of Nazareth conquered Satan, Sin, and Death on the Cross of Calvary, and he began his reign as the Messianic King following his Death and Resurrection. He is not waiting for some future event before he receives his sovereignty over the Earth, he reigns already!

Only in Jesus

Jesus is the true Light of the World, the expression of God, and the only source of truth, life, and salvation.

“Life” is found in the “Word” or ‘Logos’ of God, and this life is the “Light of men.” It “shines in the darkness,” and the darkness is powerless to extinguish it. This ‘Logos’ became the Living Word of God manifested in the Life, Death, and Resurrection of Jesus of Nazareth. The glory and life of God radiate through Christ for all men to behold - (John 1:1).

También para las Naciones

Jesús de Nazaret cumple la promesa de bendecir a todas las naciones en Abraham. Cristo es el Heredero y la Simiente del Patriarca.

Básico para la doctrina bíblica de la redención es el pacto con Abraham y su “Simiente”. Incluía la promesa de que “todas las naciones de la Tierra serían bendecidas en él”, y el Patriarca tendría innumerables descendientes.  ¿Cómo y cuándo son bendecidas las naciones? ¿Quién está destinada la “Simiente” de Abaham a heredar las promesas?

For the Nations Also

Jesus Christ fulfills God’s promise to bless all nations through His Covenant with Abraham. He is the Light and source of Salvation for the nations.

Foundational to the biblical doctrine of redemption is the Covenant that God made with Abraham, and with his “seed” after him, including the promises to bless all nations and to grant the Patriarch innumerable descendants. But how and when are the nations blessed? And who is Abaham’s “seed” destined to inherit the promises?

Jesus Saves!

Salvation and Redemption are found in no other name than ‘Jesus’. He alone achieved victory over Sin, Satan, and Death.

Jesus of Nazareth declared: “All authority in heaven and on earth is given to me, therefore, go and make disciples of all nations.” He sent his disciples to announce the salvation purchased by his death to the “ends of the Earth.” The Age of Salvation commenced with his Death and Resurrection; therefore, his life-giving message must be announced to all men. The Son of God has achieved salvation for his people!

Bendición de Abraham

El Don del Espíritu es una de las promesas del Pacto de Dios y una de las formas de bendecir a las naciones a través de la Simiente de Abraham.

Pedro y Juan oraron por un hombre que estaba “cojo desde el vientre de su madre” mientras pedía limosna cerca del Templo de Jerusalén. En lugar de dinero, le ordenaron que se parara y caminara “en el nombre de Jesucristo de Nazaret.” Inmediatamente, comenzó a caminar, y después, fue visto y escuchado “saltando y alabando a Dios.”
