Jesús de Nazaret cumple la promesa de bendecir a todas las naciones en Abraham. Cristo es el Heredero y la Simiente del Patriarca.

Básico para la doctrina bíblica de la redención es el pacto con Abraham y su “Simiente”. Incluía la promesa de que “todas las naciones de la Tierra serían bendecidas en él”, y el Patriarca tendría innumerables descendientes.  ¿Cómo y cuándo son bendecidas las naciones? ¿Quién está destinada la “Simiente” de Abaham a heredar las promesas?

For the Nations Also

Jesus Christ fulfills God’s promise to bless all nations through His Covenant with Abraham. He is the Light and source of Salvation for the nations.

Foundational to the biblical doctrine of redemption is the Covenant that God made with Abraham, and with his “seed” after him, including the promises to bless all nations and to grant the Patriarch innumerable descendants. But how and when are the nations blessed? And who is Abaham’s “seed” destined to inherit the promises?

Bendición de Abraham

El Don del Espíritu es una de las promesas del Pacto de Dios y una de las formas de bendecir a las naciones a través de la Simiente de Abraham.

Pedro y Juan oraron por un hombre que estaba “cojo desde el vientre de su madre” mientras pedía limosna cerca del Templo de Jerusalén. En lugar de dinero, le ordenaron que se parara y caminara “en el nombre de Jesucristo de Nazaret.” Inmediatamente, comenzó a caminar, y después, fue visto y escuchado “saltando y alabando a Dios.”

The Blessing of Abraham

The gift of the Spirit is part of the covenant promises made to Abraham, including blessing the nations of the Earth.

The Gospel of Matthew declares that Jesus is the son of Abraham. Thus, this gospel account connects the Nazarene to the Abrahamic Covenant, for the Messiah of Israel came to complete the covenant and all its promises.

Promesa del Padre

Con el derramamiento del Espíritu en el Día de Pentecostés, comenzaron las bendiciones para todas las naciones prometidas a Abraham. El Apóstol Pablo llama al Don del Espíritu la “Promesa del Padre” que vincula con el pacto abrahámico. Las promesas a Abraham y a “su Descendencia” encuentran su cumplimiento en la Nueva Alianza inaugurada por la Muerte y Resurrección de Jesús.

The Promise of the Father

With the outpouring of the Spirit on the Day of Pentecost, the blessings for all nations promised to Abraham commenced.

The gift of the Holy Spirit is described as “the promise of the Father” in the New Testament, which connects this gift to the Abrahamic covenant. The promises to Abraham and his seed are fulfilled in the New Covenant inaugurated by the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, and the gift of the Spirit is the guarantee that we will inherit all that God has promised.

El Hijo de Abraham

La introducción a Mateo afirma que Jesús es el “Hijo de Abraham.” Él es nada menos que el heredero de las promesas del pacto hechas por el Dios de Israel al Patriarca, ls “Simiente de Abraham.” Su identificación como descendiente del Patriarca apunta al tema del cumplimiento que domina el Evangelio de Mateo. ¡En este hombre de Nazaret, todas las antiguas promesas de Dios encuentran su “Sí, y Amén”!

Son of Abraham

The introduction to Matthew declares that Jesus is the “Son of Abraham.” He is the heir of the covenant promises to the Patriarch, and his identification as the son of Abraham stresses fulfillment in him. Through Jesus, the promises have become reality.
